The number of people seeking counselling and advice for debt problems in the Isle of Man is expected to peak in January.
An OFT spokesman said initial figures show a similar trend to those of 2012.
Between January and March 2011, over 160 clients used the service compared with an average of 120 in the year's other quarterly figures.
A booklet has also been produced to help people manage debt and deal with legal issues.
Official figures from the organisation show that during 2011 the service helped clients manage a total debt of more than ?3m.
Credit card debt accounted for more than 40% of the total owed.
More information on the debt service is available from the organisation's website.
